Most businesses need employees with strong sales skills to compete in today?s economy. Learn how your company can boost performance by increasing sales skills through the latest corporate training offered by the Center for Workforce Solutions (CWS) at an executive briefing, ?Sales Force Effectiveness,? at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) at Arundel Mills, 7009 Arundel Mills Circle, Hanover.
At the briefing, AACC?s new president, Dr. Dawn Lindsay, and CWS will unveil ?Advanced Sales and Management Training,? which is available through the CWS partnership with Global Corporate College (GCC) and Growth Development Associates (GDA). GDA President Eric Richardson will provide an overview of the ways this training helps businesses achieve performance goals and increase revenue. Topics include maximizing revenue and profitability, building powerful relationships with customers that result in increased market share and growing business by protecting and leveraging a company?s customer base.
?Nearly 25 percent of all jobs currently advertised on Monster.com are for positions in sales,? said Laura E. Weidner, Ph.D., dean of workforce development at AACC. ?Having strong sales skills can not only help people land jobs, but also gives employers an edge by having a well-trained sales staff. ? Even if a person is not in a sales position, most of us need sales skills to be successful.?
Weidner said her staff took the training and are already realizing the benefits. ?Whether a company?s sales force is comprised of 4,000 or just one, everyone who enrolls in this training will see the benefits almost immediately,? she said.
In addition to the briefing, Richardson will be available on both Oct. 2 and 3 to meet personally with companies to identify how AACC and the GDA curriculum can effectively meet the needs of their sales force. GDA has a 23-year track record of helping organizations from American Express to Apple computers achieve record-level growth by using its ?Advanced Sales and Management Training.?
Those planning to attend the executive briefing also will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Lindsay, who has a proven history of facilitating successful corporate partnerships to meet the needs of the business community. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
